Your Role as a HousekeeperSkilled Nursing
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our skilled nursing team and help maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role is essential to infection control, resident comfort, and overall community standards.
What You’ll Do- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, work areas, and offices
- Perform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing personal and general laundry
- Follow deep-cleaning schedules and infection control protocols
- Report maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor
- Maintain housekeeping carts, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals in compliance with OSHA standards
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is in good condition
- Adhere to established cleaning routines and safety procedures
- Attend required training sessions and staff meetings to support service quality and efficiency
- Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequently
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Crouch, kneel, balance, stoop, and bend as needed
- Use PPE including gloves, gowns, and face protection as required
- Wear supportive, non-slip footwear
- Use carts and casters to transport items safely
- Follow OSHA standards for hazardous cleaning agents and SDS guidelines
- Report all work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
This position operates primarily indoors in a Skilled Nursing community with adequate lighting and ventilation. Occasional interaction with residents during daily routines or activities may occur.
Qualifications- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, resident-centered environment
