Overview

Haviland Care Center in Haviland, Kansas is looking to hire a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. If you want to be part of a dynamic and caring clinical team, read on! Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose. You provide total care for our residents, monitoring their condition and needs. You follow physician orders to administer medications and treatments, ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in residents’ condition. You also oversee the nursing assistant-registered staff to ensure that care plans are followed.

You complete documentation and handle admission and discharge of residents. You protect residents from bruises, skin tears, or neglect, maintain confidentiality, and follow HIPAA requirements and facility policies. Your friendly demeanor makes it easy to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues. You take pride in the difference you make in our residents’ lives.

RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing, current CPR certification, ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations, desire to work with the elderly.

Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required. We value trustworthiness, respect, dependability, professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for caring for seniors. Effective communication and rapport-building are essential.

This full-time health care position works 12-hour shifts.
