Student Loan Repayment: $167 extra per month toward principal, up to $10,000.
Sign‑On Bonus: RN up to $20,000 with 3+ years of experience;
New Graduate up to $15,000; LPN up to $7,500.
Avera seeks nurses to deliver the best possible nursing care in patient‑focused settings. Nursing duties include developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and providing holistic support to patients and families.
- Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition and psychological status, selecting nursing diagnoses, and establishing care objectives and interventions.
- Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals; instructing patients, families, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answering questions; and providing information and resources.
- Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changing conditions and needs, re‑evaluating objectives, and modifying the care plan as needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by following infection‑control policies and medication administration protocols; monitoring controlled substance regulations; and alerting others of potential concerns.
- Document care services in patient and departmental records; keep equipment operating according to procedures; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies; and perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership.
Must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including adequate visual acuity, effective communication, and hearing.
Required Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license, active state license upon hire.
- 1–3 years experience working in a clinical environment.
