Position: ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE/PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATE
Location: Sublette

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Documents of medical history and physical examination findings in the patient record utilizing the SOAP format.

Orders, administers, and/or prescribes medications according to protocol and licensure.

Assists in formulating and reviewing Quality Assurance criteria; provides in‑service training for staff.

Ensures accuracy and thoroughness of patient care documentation, reports, records, and statistics.

Maintains a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment in accordance with clinic standards.

Keep accurate and complete patient medical records.

Monitor patients' emotional stability closely and actively engage with them to show genuine care and support for their progress.

Perform examinations, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions related to direct patient care.

Always prioritize the comfort, cultural needs, and privacy of patients. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort, cultural needs, and privacy at all times.

Participate in professional development through continuing education, reading current literature, attending workshops, and in-service meetings. g education, reading current literature, attending workshops, and in‑service meetings.

Attend required meetings and collaborate with other personnel to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Trains, instructs, and orients assigned staff.

Demonstrates competency and professionalism in all patient care responsibilities.

Participates in the development, implementation, and periodic review of written patient care policies.

Arranges or refers patients to needed services not provided in the clinic.

Ensures proper transfer of medical records when patients are referred externally.

Participate in bi‑weekly patient chart review with a supervising physician.

Qualification Requirements:

APRN:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Current Kansas APRN licensure or work permit.

National certification (ANCC or AANPC).Physician Assistant:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program.

Current NCCPA certification.

Current registration with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.

Both:

Current BLS/CPR certification.

ACLS certification PALS certificationATLS certification is preferred; however, it must be obtained within six months of hiring.

Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Must be organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.

Temperament:

It is essential to ensure that every interaction is friendly, professional, and helpful, while consistently prioritizing exceptional customer service.

Working Conditions:

Subject to frequent interruptions.

Possible exposure to biohazardous materials, toxic chemicals, and/or radioactive substances.

Physical Demands:
