Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Travel ER Registered Nurse needed for a 13‑week assignment in Bloom, Kansas. This travel position covers a high‑volume ER and Med/Surg environment in an 18‑bed Critical Access Hospital. Start date is 09/21/2026 with a weekly pay range of $1,790–$1,890 and no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3×12‑hour nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.). The schedule follows a two‑week cycle:
Week 1 = Monday, Friday, Saturday;
Week 2 = Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday; and repeats for the duration of the contract. The unit requires competence in Cerner charting and a background in critical access settings. Backfill coverage is required to support continuous patient care, and leadership may request charge duties on occasion.

• Provide direct nursing care to adults and elderly patients in a combined ER and Med/Surg setting
• Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, medication administration, and documentation in Cerner
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to implement and adjust care plans
• Manage emergency responses, assist with procedures within scope, and ensure patient and family safety and comfort
• Support unit operations during high patient volume and be prepared to take on charge nurse responsibilities when needed
• Document care accurately, monitor patient outcomes, and facilitate effective patient flow through the department

• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Cerner experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in Critical Access settings and in ER/Med/Surg environments
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Availability for 12‑hour night shifts with the described bidirectional schedule

• 13‑week travel assignment
