Short Term Acute Care Hospital; travel assignment
- Provide comprehensive PACU nursing care to postoperative patients, including airway, breathing, circulation, and monitoring of vitals
- Assess patient status in PACU, manage pain and nausea, and adjust care as patients recover from anesthesia
- Administer medications as ordered, monitor sedation levels, and respond to evolving conditions
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, including rapid assessment and coordination with the surgical team and anesthesia
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress; communicate with the surgical team and unit staff for smooth transitions
- Prepare patients for transfer to the next level of care or discharge planning in collaboration with the care team
- Kansas Registered Nurse license in good standing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALs certifications
- Minimum 1 year of PACU and Pre Op experience
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts; on-call 8 shifts per month with rotating weekends and holidays
- No new graduates accepted
- Virtual orientation participation and credentials due one week prior to start
- 24/7 recruiter and travel support

- Weekly pay via direct deposit
