Description:
This position primarily involves medical-surgical nursing.
The nurse must be proficient in labor and delivery.
The nurse will manage medical-surgical patients.
The nurse may be pulled to an obstetrical patient when one presents.
The nurse should be able to manage the OB patient through delivery and postpartum care.
The patient ratio for the medical-surgical position is 1:4.The patient ratio for labor and delivery is 1:1.It is rare to have two laboring patients at the same time.
This role requires no scheduled on-call hours.
On-call may be required if there is low census and an obstetrical patient presents.
Local candidates are accepted.
Flu vaccination is required, with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons.
