Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The position is located in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), where the selected candidate may be floated between the Emergency Room (ER) and Med Surg departments. The role may require working in both areas, with varying shifts focused on Med Surg or ER care as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in both ER and Med Surg settings based on unit needs.
- Assist nursing staff with daily patient care tasks and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care.
- Current certification on the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry (KDADS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Prefer candidates with previous travel experience but will consider first-time travelers.
- May consider candidates with less than three years of experience.
The staffing model includes two nurses, one aide, and one staff secretary on the floor during shifts. The facility utilizes Athena as the electronic medical record (EMR) system. There are no specific scrub colors mandated for staff. Candidates should be aware that the facility accommodates Covid vaccine exemptions and does not require the flu vaccine.
