American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift role at a critical access hospital requiring prior critical access experience and combined OB/Med Surg coverage.
Requirements- Active KS or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty required
- Prior critical access hospital experience required
- References required for consideration
- Critical access hospital setting combining Labor and Delivery with Med Surg duties (approximately 75% Med Surg given low delivery volume of 1-2 babies per week)
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 6:00
- OB patient ratio of 1:1
- Med Surg patient ratio of 1:3, with potential 1:4 during cold/flu season
- Uses CPSI/Perigen charting system
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
- Provide nursing care across both Labor and Delivery and Med Surg units
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
