- Safely restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures using low-stress handling techniques
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care, diagnostics, and procedural preparation
- Process laboratory and diagnostic samples accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and obtain patient medical histories while ensuring accurate documentation
- Educate and communicate with clients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and patient needs
- Coordinate appointments and facilitate communication between doctors, technicians, and clients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and exam rooms
- Monitor inventory levels and help maintain medical supplies
- Anticipate doctor and technician needs to support efficient workflow
- Collaborate with other departments during non-peak times as needed
- Participate in department meetings, training, and special projects that support hospital growth and patient care
- Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
- Experience with patient restraint preferred;
Fear Free handling techniques are a plus - Veterinary Assistant Certification preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent client service and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-first mindset

- Tues‑Fri 7:30a‑6:00p
- Full‑Time 40 hours per week
- Ability to lift and carry patients or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Comfortable working extensively with computers and medical software
- Ability to work in a veterinary hospital environment with exposure to animal odors, noise, and bodily fluids
