Your tasks

Contribution in different functions of research and development of pharmaceuticals:

• Gaining insights into the processes of pharmaceutical research and development in the pharmaceutical industry
• Deepening, expanding, and practical application of pharmaceutical knowledge
• Learning about the implementation of the pharmaceutical law (AMG), pharmaceutical and active substance manufacturing regulation (AMWHV), international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements, pharmacopeia requirements, other recognized standards and/or approval requirements for pharmaceuticals in preparation for the 3rd state examination
• Learning about the tasks and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry

Depending on the area:

• Contribution to the development of formulations, manufacturing processes, delivery devices, and container closure systems for new biological or chemically defined pharmaceuticals, method development and testing, as well as independent handling of pharmaceutical-technical and pharmaceutical-analytical questions
• Independent work on current scientific questions from various development projects; application of established or development of novel analytical methods to promote the scientific understanding of our innovative drug forms for poorly soluble active substances; documentation of results in the form of reports and presentations to internal specialist audience
• Contribution to global project management for the provision of medicines for clinical trials

Qualifications

• Students of pharmacy in preparation for the 3rd state examination
• Interest in the development of pharmaceuticals and research into new therapies
• High initiative, high self-motivation, high flexibility
• Depending on the area, technical-scientific interest and/or interest in regulatory issues and quality aspects of pharmaceuticals as well as interest in project management
• Analytical thinking and working method
• Good communication and team skills
• Good English skills in speech and writing

• Early Manufacturing Process Development (EMPD) and Parenteral Manufacturing Science (PaMS)
• Combination Product Development
• Product Development QA
• Technical Operations

Please specify in your application which areas you are particularly interested in and for what period of time you are available.

We are currently looking for pharmacy interns for the periods November 2026, May 2027, and November 2027.

Please note that we offer area presentations at regular intervals (approximately quarterly). All participating departments present themselves to the students in short presentations (10 minutes). Afterwards, the students have the opportunity to prioritize their top three areas of interest. Based on these preferences, we then organize 30-minute virtual conversations between the students and the respective areas of interest.
