Location: Phillipsburg

Primary Function

Analysts perform basic testing procedures on a variety of analytical instruments, assessing the outcomes of analytical techniques and documenting findings using the laboratory reporting system.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the quality of the finished product, capacity, gradation of the media, ensuring proper disinfection and overall approval for sale.
  • Check inbound COAs for suitability of application.
  • Continue tracking system for the production of media.
  • Determine physical parameters of incoming raw water used in manufacturing daily.
  • Make and supply hardness challenge water for hardness testing.
  • Develop and maintain databases tracking production history, incoming raw materials, QA data, water usage, discharge water history, etc.
  • Answer production information questions to customers who call in or refer to appropriate contact.
  • Use computer skills – Excel, Word, Access, etc.
  • Assist with inventory and paperwork for shipping and receiving.
  • Order parts/chemistry when necessary.
  • Assist Plant Manager/EHSS Manager on daily tasks.
  • Assist EHSS in training production and maintenance employees.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or GED or equivalent) required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 6 months related work experience.
  • Chemistry, quality, lab, or statistical background experience a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a lab setting: equipment setup, testing, reporting, recording results.
  • Strong attention to detail and priority-setting skills.
  • Self-driven.
  • Ability to decipher results.
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to generate reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork.
