Quality Tech – 1st Shift (6:30am–3pm)
Pay: Starting at $20.35/hour
SummaryRoutinely utilizes quality standards as established by the Quality department to inspect parts, products and/or processes to ensure compliance. Confers with management and value streams in resolution of defective parts or products. Works with QA personnel regarding corrective and preventive actions. Conducts routine audits and process capability reviews under supervision. Processes defective internal and supplier parts and assemblies as required.
What You Will Do- Inspect and test incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specification using fixed or pre-set measuring instruments. (75%)
- Work with various internal departments and supplier representatives to communicate non-conformities and suggest improvements or remedies. Work with Production Supervisors to approve re-work products. Work with Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Control Techs, Leads, and value stream personnel to implement corrective actions. (15%)
- Inspect periodic samples of in-process fabricated parts to print specifications and for blemishes and defects. Inspect welded assemblies to print specifications and for weld quality. Work with inspection equipment such as fixed gauges, templates, micrometer, height gauge, dial indicator, and portable coordinate measuring machine. Reject defective parts and notify department supervisor or supplier of rejected parts status. (Approx.

- High school/GED diploma required.
