C-Store Associate Morning Shift / Full-TimeFull Time – Sabetha, KS, US
SUMMARYThe C-Store Associate is responsible for customer service, sales, inventory, and maintenance of the C-Store. The position is also responsible for providing excellent service to members and patrons, working as a team, accurate transactions, and following safety policies and procedures.
AVAILABLE- 1 Full-Time Morning Shift Position
(Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.)
- Promoting and selling products and services.
- Accurately balancing the cash drawer, daily sales, and inventory.
- Ensuring that interior and exterior of fuel facility are neat, clean, and in good condition, and reporting any issues to the C-Store Manager.
- Working cooperatively with other locations to help ensure company goals are met.
- Providing excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints, and concerns immediately and meeting commitments.
- Effectively communicating by verbal and written means with customers, employees, and management.
- Maintaining and promoting safety awareness; following safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Understanding and complying with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Working schedules that vary with prompt and regular attendance.
- Assisting other office departments as needed.
- Operating Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as needed.
- Performing daily housekeeping of work area.
- Reporting to the manager on any cost‑saving opportunities.
- Securing facilities and equipment when closing.
- Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity & teamwork.
- Adhering to safety policies.
- Adhering to cooperative credit policy.
- Working with other cooperative staff at other locations to ensure cooperative goals are met.
- Presenting a clean and professional appearance.
- Promptly and regularly reporting to work and working overtime hours as needed.
- Performing all other duties as directed.
No supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires proficient computer operation skills. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job‑related education requirements or opportunities.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the cooperative.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.

REASONING ABILITYThe ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
