Position: SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: McConnell AFB

Duties The organizational location of this position is:
To provide anti-terrorism/force protection, preserve the peace, detect and investigate crimes persons and property, apprehend/detain violators, and assist base citizens in emergency situations. To enforce a wide range of federal laws and assimilated local laws for application and enforcement within federal jurisdiction and when authorized, in proprietary jurisdiction. DUTY 1:
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 22nd Security Forces Squadron, Operations and Training Section. DUTY 2:
Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Represents the Security Forces Squadron, Operations and Training Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations DUTY 3:
Represents the Commander and Operation Officer with a variety of squadron, installation, and law enforcement organizations. DUTY 4:
Reports to the Operations Officer and Squadron Commander of Security Forces and performs other auxiliary, security and law enforcement functions. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Incumbents are required to obtain and maintain secret security clearance as a condition of employment.

* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
* This position has been identified as a designated position under the Air Force Drug Testing Plan. Incumbent(s) of this position is subject to random drug test.
* May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include nights, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and subject to recall.
* Employee must maintain current certifications
* Disclosure of Political Appointments
* Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume. Superior Qualifications may be considered.
* The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* This position may be designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507.
* This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement. Superior Qualifications will be considered.
* Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be considered and is with a two-year Service Agreement.
* Department of Defense Physical Security Certification (PSC) is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:
Applying knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines, concepts, principles, practices and requirements applicable to the information protection program to include: acquisition security, program protection, information security, industrial security, physical security, personnel security, operations security, foreign disclosure, and information assurance in order to perform the full range of complex security management responsibilities. Knowledge of analytical methods for determining and evaluating vulnerability threats, intelligence data, and other specialized areas resulting in possible program compromise are required.

Including knowledge of state of-the-art security equipment, devices, practices, and procedures with all IP security disciplines for planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures are required. OR
