Commercial Audio-Visual Installation Technician

Overview

The Commercial Audio-Visual Installation Technician plays a key role in deploying AV and communication systems across diverse client settings. We are looking for a skilled professional capable of installing, servicing and programming a wide range of audio-visual and communication equipment. Success in this role requires both the independence to manage tasks solo and the collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

• Install, configure, and support AV systems including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, control systems, and video conferencing equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Perform system programming on Q-Sys and other platforms
• Perform system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting

• 2-3 years’ experience in AV Installation
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing small crews
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset focused on achieving shared objectives
• Capable of receiving direction, providing constructive feedback, and working both independently and as part of a team
• Skilled in hands-on tasks such as mounting equipment and terminating cables
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines with composure

Travel: working on job sites in the West Michigan area, overnights are rare!

General safety, CPR, Ariel Lift, Fall Protection, Scaffolding usage. CTS/ CTSI. Q-Sys Certified
