HVAC position who possesses a solid understanding of HVAC equipment operation and contributes as a member of an HVAC team maintaining mechanical equipment in school buildings.
ResponsibilitiesStrong competence and understanding of mechanical equipment and its operation
Operates computerized programs required for efficient equipment operation
Demonstrates willingness to continually learn about new HVAC equipment, its operation and computer controls
Operates alone in addressing work orders, assessing issues and correcting problems
Requires minimal supervision
Is a self-starter who can perform alone and be relied upon to handle repair calls, check status of equipment, investigative equipment operation, and identify problems
A contributing member of the HVAC team who maintains heating and cooling equipment throughout the school district
Exhibits professionalism with all customers using discretion in discussing any problems and/or issues regarding operation of equipment
Assimilates information and makes good judgment decisions regarding the operation of mechanical equipment
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education/Experience RequirementsStrong HVAC maintenance experience
Able to undertake new responsibilities and is reliable
Such alternatives or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Physical RequirementsMust be able to physically perform the basic operational functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, hearing and repetitive motion
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
