Salary Range: $25.00 To $28.00 Annually
Summary:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of various systems within the facility. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, including plumbing, compressor maintenance, electrical repairs, air filter replacement, preventative maintenance, sidewalk maintenance, pressure washing, painting, and carpentry work. The primary goal is to uphold a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for Palziv.
Key Knowledge and responsibilities:
- Plumbing:
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, or other plumbing issues.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures.
- Compressor Maintenance:
- Perform regular checks on compressors and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair compressor malfunctions.
- Electrical Repairs:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
- Replace faulty wiring, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
- Address electrical emergencies promptly.
- Air Filter Replacement:
- Develop and implement a schedule for air filter replacement.
- Replace air filters in HVAC systems to maintain air quality.
- Monitor and address any issues related to air circulation.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Implement and follow a preventive maintenance program for various systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become critical.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Sidewalk Maintenance:
- Inspect sidewalks for cracks, uneven surfaces, or other safety hazards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance to ensure safe pedestrian pathways.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major sidewalk projects.
- Pressure Washing:
- Schedule and perform routine pressure washing of exterior surfaces.
- Remove dirt, debris, and stains from sidewalks, building exteriors, and other surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Painting:
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
- Select and apply appropriate paint and coatings.
- Repair and prepare surfaces before painting.
- Address and repair carpentry issues such as doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks, including framing and finishing work.
- Coordinate with specialized contractors for complex carpentry projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
- 5+ years experience in facility maintenance, with expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to work within a Maintenance computerized system to keep records up to date.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Stamina to perform tasks that may require prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
