SummaryPerform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of tenant spaces (district owned facilities) and equipment. Perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance in HVAC, electrical, landscape, parking lots, grounds, electronics and plumbing; assist in obtaining quotes, arranging services of outside vendors, obtaining estimates for supplies and repair parts, order parts as needed, maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Work on projects identified by facility use manager and tenants requiring services of skilled craftsperson, create and complete assigned work orders, coordinate, obtain quotes, schedule and oversee work performed by contractors, ensure work completed meeting all safety and district requirements.
- Inspect and verify operation and safety of equipment, including adjusting, calibrating, replacement, rebuilding, repairing building equipment; perform permitted repairs under supervision of Master licensed maintenance workers.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and related job tasks at tenant spaces including HVAC, roofing, kitchen equipment, parking lots, electrical, landscape, grounds, electronics and plumbing so maintained in safe, clean, orderly condition per regulations; maintain good working condition of all hand and power tools.
- Support all trades in related job duties; respond to emergency maintenance requests; monitor maintenance schedules to ensure tasks performed timely.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in commercial or school facility maintenance preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in one or combination of HVAC, kitchen equipment, electrical, electronics, plumbing and custodial.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Must successfully complete pre‑hire, post‑offer physical abilities examination.
- Valid Colorado driver's license.
- Submission of motor vehicle record at time of application.
- Preferred: EPA/CFC Type I, Type II, and/or Type III certification; valid Colorado State Journeyman Plumber license plus Colorado Backflow Prevention Certification or obtain within 6 months; valid State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician license.
All classified positions are paid on an hourly basis. New hires are placed on Step 1 of the pay grade; they can advance up to Step 8 based on experience. Final hourly placement depends on grade level and prior experience. For additional compensation details, refer to the Classified Salary Schedule and Classified Master Agreement.
