Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator
The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the paving equipment on a construction job site in a safe manner. The Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Primary Function:
The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. Asphalt Paving Equipment Operators will work and operate with Material Transfer Vehicle (MTV), paver, roller, and other paving equipment. They must also complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Superintendent or Foreman.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines.
- Performing daily maintenance & safety checks.
- Cleaning equipment as required.
- Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.
- Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.

- Is a productive team member that supports the team by going and assisting where needed.

Working Conditions
- Ascend/descend ladder 8-10 feet to access equipment operating station.
- Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications.
- Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using a scrapper and shovel, periodically the operator may need to use jack or chipping hammers.
- May perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Manager.
Required Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a "Negative" result.
• Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a "Capable" result.
Preferred Experience
- At least six months experience operating equipment listed above.
