Tire Technician 2nd Shift

Summary

Provides proper tire inspections, repairs and replacements on the existing operational fleet. Reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager and Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.

• Performs repairs on tires only and must have and/or be able to pass TIA certification.
• Dismounts and remounts tires and wheels securely on vehicles and equipment.
• Completes daily inspections of all wheel positions on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs safety inspections and/or repairs of DVIR reported issues.
• Operates all related equipment and tools as trained.
• Maintains proper housekeeping of assigned work area daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma and/or GED.
• 1-2 years’ experience in heavy truck equipment & light duty truck tire maintenance.
• Must be able to work overtime if needed.
• Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
• Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Acceptable Driver's Record.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Bilingual English / Spanish.
• Trade School Certification.
• ASE Certification.

• Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
• Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability, concentration, exposure to heavy machinery, eye/hand coordination, and handling continuously.
• Bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. continuously.
• Exposure to unprotected heights occasionally.
• Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet slippery surfaces, hot/cold conditions, and noise continuously.
• Works inside and outside.

Salary: $25.46 hourly.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 3:00PM – 11:30AM.
