Lake Quivira is a premier private lake and country club community located just minutes from western Johnson County. We are seeking a dependable, motivated Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems, and building structures
- Paint and repair doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, drywall, tile, brick, and grout
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Maintain air conditioning systems, refrigerators, ice machines, pool pumps, and related equipment
- Monitor pool filtration and chlorination systems, test pool water, and maintain health department logs
- Repair small motors and equipment
- Assist with facility setup and support for club events
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Work with the Facilities Manager on special projects and other assigned duties
- High school diploma or GED required
- One year of maintenance experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or similar environment preferred
- Vocational or technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or related trade is a plus
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
- Experience using power and hand tools safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to safely operate tools and equipment while performing physical maintenance tasks
This is a full‑time position. Work hours are generally daytime, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club operations and special events.
