Description

We are seeking an In-Home Support Specialist to join our team. Starting Salary: $18.27 - $20.19 (Hourly) We are seeking an In-Home Support Specialist to join our team. Your role will work with families who have children ranging from age 11-18 and are at risk of entering foster care due to their behaviors. Your goal will be to keep the family together, safely.

You will provide household support, babysitting/supervision, acting as another safe adult in the home, providing homework assistance, etc. Your support may also be provided in the community in the form of daily routine assistance such as helping with transportation, helping with shopping, or running errands, etc. As a member of the Family Preservation Services team, you will work with other team members and report to our Manager of Family Preservation Services.

What You Will Do:
  • Work closely with the Family Preservation team, families, and respite caregivers to identify their support needs to ensure that children are safe.
  • Attend state pre-service training as required or ongoing training to meet demands and best practices of the position.
  • Transport youth/families as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case staffing's as a part of the Family Preservation Team to ensure services and support are being provided to families and caregivers.
What You Will Bring:

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in child and family services and the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services related field is preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
