Direct Support Professional

COF Training Services Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist youth and adults in vocational and life skills programs. In this on-site role, you'll support participants with daily living, job readiness tasks, and community integration activities. Responsibilities include implementing individualized plans, teaching life and employability skills, documenting progress, and collaborating with instructors and counselors. You'll model professional behavior, encourage independence, and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment aligned with our mission of empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to youth and adult participants in vocational and life skills programs.
• Implement individualized training and support plans to build independence and job readiness.
• Teach and reinforce daily living, social, and employability skills in group and one-on-one settings.
• Monitor, document, and report participant progress, behaviors, and goals.
• Support safe community integration, outings, and work-based learning activities.
• Collaborate with instructors, counselors, and partners to coordinate services.
• Maintain a supportive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow agency policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding participant needs and incidents.
• Participate in required trainings and professional development to enhance service quality.
