The purpose of the Day One Specialist is to provide sows and newborn piglets with attentive, hands-on care before, during, and after farrowing. This entry-level, full-time position plays an important role in maintaining high animal care standards and ensuring newborn piglets receive the care and support needed to get a strong, healthy start during their first three days of life.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a Wednesday through Sunday work schedule. Regular days off are Monday and Tuesday.

The schedule requires a minimum of 36 hours per week (Wednesday through Sunday), with weekdays typically averaging 8-hour workdays and Saturdays and Sundays typically averaging 6-hour workdays. Holiday work rotations, as established by the Manager, will be required.
