Overview

Yoder Smokers is hiring a full-time C / C++ developer to work in a low-level RTOS / embedded environment as we continue to research, design, and engineer leading IoT solutions in the consumer and commercial space. We produce a line of pellet grills with integrated technologies and are looking to enhance current product lines and introduce new products to the market.

• Develop and maintain low-level firmware for embedded systems in a real-time operating system (RTOS) environment.
• Perform C / C++ programming and enable interfacing with sensor/driver protocols including I2C and SPI.
• Implement user controls / interfaces including LCD and button controls and associated logic.
• Code, test, debug, document, and monitor applications.
• Address, manage storage with NOR flash / NAND flash / RAM.
• Perform low-level interfacing to networking modules (WiFi / Bluetooth Low Energy).
• Work in a small agile environment and rapidly learn, develop, and implement solutions to real-time problems.

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of applicable experience in C / C++ programming, embedded systems, and related areas listed in Responsibilities.

• Custom electronics (familiar with reviewing schematics/board layouts).
• OTA update processes and paradigms.
