Sedentary work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Manages all administrative logistical details for all outbound shipments processed by outside carriers and internal fleet.

• Manages all logistical details for all outbound domestic and international export shipments done by outside carriers and freight forwarders
• Obtains quotes and selects vendors for freight and freight forwarding services
• Coordinates with internal and external contacts on shipments
• Investigates and resolves customer issues pertaining to shipping or paperwork
• Examines, prepares and administers documents such as invoices, bills of lading and shipping statements
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of shipments and packaging to ensure timely deliveries
• Maintains compliance with ITAR and other governmental regulations
• Ships material by Fed Ex and UPS
• Files all freight claims for damaged goods and tracks them on a weekly basis; resolves disputes
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Solid math skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of UPS and Fed Ex software
• Ability to read and write in English
• Understanding of ITAR and government regulations preferred
• Experience in tracking international shipments is a plus
• Forklift/Side-loader certification preferred
• Must be able to pass drug and background checks
• 1‑2 years of related experience preferred
