Position OverviewThe Operations Supervisor manages the team’s workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. The role ensures safety and efficiency through process improvements, target setting, and acting as a liaison between employees and upper management. Supervisors coach staff and resolve issues.
Work LocationThis is an on‑site role.
Work Schedule- Friday – Monday
- Friday and Monday hours: 7 am – 3 pm
- Saturday and Sunday hours: 7 am – 7 pm
Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000 plus bonus opportunities. Benefits include PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching and additional perks. Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safe environment for customers’ product, associates, and temporary workers.
- Follow established operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, disposition of materials, and inventory updates.
- Provide 100 % customer satisfaction.
- Build a positive teamwork environment through listening and communication with all associates.
- Help maintain attendance and tardiness records.
- Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
- Provide on‑the‑job coaching and training to maintain associate skills at desired levels.
- Coordinate vacations, payroll, time sheets for associates and temporary workers, and address complaints and concerns about productivity and quality of work.
- Oversee warehouse associates.
- Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food‑grade warehouse operations.
Minimum Requirements
- High‑school diploma or GED with some college level study.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehousing role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bi‑lingual, Spanish speaking a plus.
- Microsoft Office Suites experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Inventory management experience a plus.
- Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus.
