Salary: $3,333 to $4,221 per month (SR-9, Step C to I).

Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Shift Work
:
Some positions require working rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Independently performs complex library support work; supervises and participates in moderately complex library support work; provides non‑professional support for a library; and performs related duties as assigned.

General
Experience:
One (1) year of clerical work experience demonstrating knowledge of spelling and arithmetic; ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to compare words and numbers quickly and accurately; proficiency in performing clerical procedures, operating office equipment, and dealing with others tactfully and politely; or comparable to the Library Assistant II level. The Library Assistant II performs simple and repetitive clerical or manual library routines in accordance with established procedures and performs other related duties as assigned.
Specialized
Experience:
One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in a library involving circulation work, stack maintenance, processing orders for library materials, posting receipts of periodicals and other materials, locating and verifying bibliographic information using standard sources, and applying library terminology, practices, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated understanding of the nature and organization of library materials.
At least one year of the required specialized experience must be comparable to the Library Assistant III state level. The Library Assistant III performs moderately complex clerical and related library support work and performs other related duties as assigned.
