This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast‑tracing qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai’i.
Applications received for this recruitment will be reviewed for Legal Authorization to work in the United States. All applicants who pass the Legal Authorization review will be referred to the hiring department for consideration and an initial application review.

The referral and interview at the departmental level does not imply that all Minimum Qualification Requirements have been met. A final review will be conducted by the Department of Human Resources Development and all applicants will be notified of the final disposition.
Salary: $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR‑11, Step C to I). Hiring rates are based on funding availability and applicant qualifications.
Duties
Summary:
Reviews applications and supporting data for compliance with insurance licensing requirements of the State; reviews documents required to be filed by individuals and agencies to determine continuing qualification for licenses; assists in scheduling licensing examinations, monitors and scores examinations; and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Legal Authorization to Work: The State of Hawai‘i requires all persons seeking employment with the government to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Basic Experience Requirement: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English and to perform basic mathematical computations, including percentages and averages. Graduation from high school or equivalent may substitute for experience.
