JOB OVERVIEW

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the HVAC Engineer maintains and repairs all building equipment, systems and components, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general building maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house equipment.
• Install, replace and maintain hotel equipment.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment, diagnosing issues by listening to sounds and observing operations to prevent breakdowns.
• Repair and replace defective machinery parts to restore functionality promptly.
• Maintain the physical structure of the hotel, including walls, floors, doors, and windows.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, accurately documenting all activities in maintenance logs.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring high satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Communicate with maintenance supervisors and management regarding projects, repairs and safety issues.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and company standards.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Respond quickly to emergencies like fires and power outages to protect guests, staff and property.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support maintenance and hotel operations.
