Makena is seeking a Farm Attendant to join our Oiwi Resources & Stewardship team.

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the club and residential homes. Responsibilities may include weeding (chemical and manual), lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, mulching, pruning, and raking. This position is key to maintaining a magnificent visual appeal to our members. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Pruning, seeding, transplanting, weeding, cultivation, and harvesting.

• Feed and clean livestock and chicken coup.

• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

• Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by Farm Manager.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of Hawaiian values, history and culture, understanding its implication in one's work, in fostering meaningful relationships, and in embracing the community served.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and a shift greater than ten (10) hours in length.

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred; basic math skills.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (8) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling
