Pay Ranges
Level III: $5,107 to $6,221 per month (SR‑20, Step D to I)
Level IV: $5,527 to $6,728 per month (SR‑22, Step D to I)
Responsibilities- Level III:
Conduct research studies through the application of research and statistical methods in a subject matter specialty; and perform other related duties. - Level IV:
Conduct specialized research studies through the application of research and statistical methods in a subject matter specialty; and perform other related duties.

- Basic
Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university, which includes three semester credit hours in statistics, is required at both levels. - Specialized
Experience:
One and one‑half years for Level III and two and one‑half years for Level IV of professional work experience conducting research and/or statistical studies which involved planning and designing surveys, modifying and applying research and statistical methods and techniques to the collection and analysis of data, and preparing summaries or reports with data presented in graphic, narrative or numerical form. - Non‑Qualifying
Work Experience:
Work in processing numerical or quantified information by non‑statistical methods is not considered appropriate qualifying experience. Examples include statistical clerical work, statistical drafting, work requiring the calculation of totals, averages or percentages, or preparation of simple tables or charts, or verification of data by simple comparison or proofreading. - Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements apply.
Employees appointed to temporary positions may gain membership in the civil service upon satisfactory completion of an initial probation period of at least six months. Once civil‑service members, employees become eligible to apply for promotion and transfer opportunities to permanent as well as other temporary positions.
