Foodland Super Market is hiring for experienced Fish Cutters to join the team! This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).
Fish Cutters are responsible but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
- Receiving, stocking, cutting, preparing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and attractive merchandising of seafood department products
- Maintaining proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and availability while minimizing waste
- Attending the service case
- Assisting customers with special requests and answering questions about our seafood products
- Helping increase sales by offering product samples and recommending additional items
- Using equipment such as wrapping machines and knives
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to lift, maneuver, and/or carry up to 75 pounds frequently
- Must successfully pass an apprentice/training program
- Must have TB clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Preferred experience:
- 2 years in a Grocery Store Environment
- 2 years in Culinary
- 2 years in Knife Skills
- 2 years in Fish Cutting
Preferred education:
High School or better.
