University Security Officer I (0900900) – University of Hawai‘i, West O‘ahu
ResponsibilitiesPatrol the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property. Detect and prevent attempts by persons to violate the law; conduct investigations of violations, prepare reports, and take appropriate action. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Specialized
Experience:
One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property. - Guard License:
Current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment. - Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. - Substitutions Allowed:
Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply. - Certification:
Valid First Aid and Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment. - Suitability Investigations:
Thorough investigation of an applicant’s suitability will be conducted prior to employment. Selected applicants must complete and submit the Waiver of Liability and Release Form.
