Job Description
As an Auto Body Technician at Gerber Collision & Glass, you will provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre‑accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence, while working with the team to hit repair facility KPIs and representing The Boyd Group. A relocation incentive is available based on skill, education and experience.
Key Job Responsibilities- Ensure consistent execution of the WOW Operating Way (WOW) plan.
- Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers, using cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
- Remove dents, dimples, and minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld and attach parts, and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or an equivalent.
- Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with other repairers in an auto body shop.
- Understand methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
- Know how to use the tools required for the trade.
- Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Inspect vehicle damage visually in various weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed for repairs and inspections.

Compensation DetailsFlat Rate: $25.50 – $36 per hour, performance‑based structure tied to booked hours. Supplemental pay is commensurate with skill, education, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be available tied to individual or business initiatives.
