Papé Machinery Inc., a leading equipment dealer in the Western U.S., is seeking a Journeyman Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery. In this role, you'll perform advanced troubleshooting on hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems, complete field and shop repairs, and execute preventive maintenance to keep customer fleets operating safely and efficiently. You'll collaborate with parts and service teams, document all work, follow strict safety standards, and participate in ongoing technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up service.
  • Support customers on-site and in the field with timely service and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with parts and service teams to source components and schedule work efficiently.
  • Use diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with equipment startups, operator training, and basic machine operation guidance.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with OEM products and technology.
