Papé Machinery Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to service agricultural, construction, forestry, and landscaping equipment in our Eugene, OR shop. In this role, you will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and complete component rebuilds using OEM tools, manuals, and diagnostics. You'll document all work performed, collaborate with parts and service teams, and uphold strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment in the shop
  • Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and component overhauls on heavy machinery
  • Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Document work performed, parts used, and test results in service records and work orders
  • Collaborate with parts, service, and sales teams to support timely customer repairs
  • Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies in the shop
  • Prepare equipment for delivery, rental, and customer demonstrations as needed
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications on OEM equipment
