Child​/Adult Protective Services Specialist Oahu

Child/Adult Protective Services Specialists investigate reports of alleged child and dependent adult abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. They conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide case management and counseling services, and coordinate community resources to protect vulnerable individuals from harm. This role is based in downtown Oahu with the Department of Human Services, Social Services Division, and involves crisis-oriented investigative work in the Adult Protective Community Services program.

• Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university with minimum 12 semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociol
• One and one-half years of progressively responsible professional experience helping individuals and families identify problems and cope with their conditions
• One year of professional social or human service work primarily involving investigations of child/dependent adult abuse/neglect and developing treatment plans
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien)
