CDL Driver

Position

Purpose:

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load/unload materials with forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lb.
• Operate in varied weather and noisy environments.
• Read job-related documents in English.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely.
• Must be 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat) and able to pass background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify.
• Must be willing to work long hours and travel within a 200-mile radius.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Verified through the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities for customer communication.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration.

Drivers will manage long hours, fast-paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200-mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on-site coordination, and occasional yard support. Success requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Base salary typically ranges from $25.87 to $32.93 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on position, location, education, training, and/or experience.

Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses per company travel policy.
