Liquid Asphalt Tanker

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Scales truck in loading process.
• Transports emulsion and liquid asphalt from refineries to dock facilities or asphalt plants.
• Performs visual inspections of asphalt containers, chassis and tankers.
• Loads (or gets loaded) with liquid asphalt at rack facility. Unloads liquid asphalt using unloading pump and hoses at HMA facility.
• Scales truck in loading process.
• Performs daily maintenance of unloading pump and hoses.
• Cleans and generally maintains truck, tanks and chassis as needed.
• May substitute for HMA drivers as needed.
• Uses forklifts and loader to load/ unload tanks and containers.
• Checks assigned truck daily by completing required CDL check lists.
• Follows DOT, OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma.
• Experience driving asphalt tanker trucks or similar hazmat products.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret job requirements, technical procedures, government regulations; ability to write reports, present information, communicate with customers and vendors.
• Experience and knowledge operating tanker trucks (single and double), loaders, forklifts (with certification) and unloading pump and hoses.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime, nights, weekends or holidays as required.
• Knowledge of asphalt products and the loading/ unloading process.
• CDL Type A, X, N and T endorsements.
