Highways Division, Lihue. This position requires operating two or more types of motorized equipment such as trucks, backhoes, and tractors/excavators with a factory rated capacity of 1 1/2 but less than 5 tons, performing general construction and maintenance work, and other related duties as assigned.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity) and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes) at the time of application.
• One (1) year of work experience operating at least two of the specified motorized equipment or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States as a citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
• A valid out-of-state CDL may be accepted if transferred to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to employment.
• Subject to pre‑employment testing for controlled substances as required by Department of Transportation regulations.
