Position: Regional Business Head-Rural Micro Enterprises Odisha/WB/Jharkhand/UP/AP&TS)
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Business Head is responsible for driving on-ground execution of business strategies and supporting the growth of the Rural Micro Enterprises portfolio within the assigned territory. The role involves managing field operations, enhancing productivity across branches and sub-BC outlets, and ensuring effective delivery of products such as Unsecured Loans, MSME Loans, and Micro LAP, while maintaining portfolio quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Delivery & Growth
Drive regional business targets including disbursements, revenue, and portfolio growth
Identify opportunities to expand reach in underpenetrated markets
Ensure effective execution of business plans across branches
Sales & Distribution Management
Manage branch network and sub-BC channels across the region
Strengthen sourcing channels and improve conversion rates
Optimize resource deployment to maximize productivity
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead and manage Area Managers and Branch Managers
Drive performance culture and accountability across teams
Coach and develop teams to enhance productivity
Portfolio Quality & Risk Management
Monitor portfolio quality metrics such as PAR and delinquency
Drive collections efficiency and ensure recovery targets are met
Take proactive measures to control credit risk
Operational Excellence
Ensure adherence to processes, policies, and SOPs
Improve turnaround times and service delivery standards
Drive operational efficiency across branches
Execution of Strategy
Implement zonal and central strategies at regional level
Drive campaigns, product initiatives, and process rollouts
Provide feedback from the field to refine business strategies
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track daily and monthly KPIs through MIS
Conduct regular performance reviews with teams
Drive corrective actions for performance gaps
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines
Support audits and ensure timely closure of observations

DESIRED PROFILE:
Qualifications and Skills
8+ years of experience in financial services / rural lending business
Post-Graduate Degree in Management (MBA/PGDM) / Finance / Rural Management / Social Work
Proven track record in loan originations, collections, and team leadership.
Strong people-management skills with experience in handling large field team and supervisors.
