The purpose of this position is to design, build, and maintain the Cooperative networks. This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing network hardware & software (routers, switches, firewalls), local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), internet systems, and segments of a network system, ensuring security to support business operations and prevent downtime. Provides training to other Cooperative employees as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Technology Manager.
Work requires high-level, deep skills and knowledge with network design, security, cloud networking, and automation. Decisions can affect the daily work of the business users’ organization widely.
Problems are complex and occasionally unique.
Demonstrated knowledge in the following categories required:
- Windows/Linux Server, Microsoft 365, Cloud computing
- Computer HW/SW/peripheral support, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions politely, clearly and effectively; verbally and in written words.
- Technical Writing
- IP networking, subnetting, segmentation, VLANs, associated hardware & software infrastructure.
- HTML with exposure to CMS-based web design.
- Commitment to customer service, exhibiting attention, empathy, and responsiveness to business users’ technical issues.
Exposure to the following is required:
Windows, Linux, VMware, Cisco, Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
