The role involves greeting and directing visitors, operating a multi‑line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate personnel, monitoring visitor access, maintaining appointment calendars, ordering and maintaining office supplies, handling mail, and assisting other employees or departments with document preparation and account maintenance.
Essential Functions- Greets and directs visitors in office.
- Opens and operates multi‑line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel.
- Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required; may update appointment calendars.
- Orders, receives and maintains office supplies and equipment.
- Receives, sorts and routes mail.
- Assists other employees or departments by gathering, checking, and preparing documents; maintains accounts; sets up appointments; assembles packages.
- Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Typical Range of ExperienceEntry‑level position.
Pay Range$17.68 - $23.56 hourly.
