Job SummaryThe Construction Assistant supports construction managers with daily site operations, maintenance, quality checks, and punch‑list completion for spec homes, model homes, and active build sites. This role helps ensure homes are clean, organized, safe, and show‑ready while supporting trade partner coordination and workmanship standards. This position will require travel between multiple job sites throughout the day, so candidates will need their own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license—no company vehicle will be provided.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Assist the Construction Manager with site administration and construction procedures.
- Perform exterior touch‑ups, paint, tile, electrical, plumbing fixture, door, and hardware adjustments.
- Maintain tools, materials, garages, attics, models, and spec homes in an organized, show‑ready condition.
- Keep spec and model homes in show‑ready condition daily.
- Document job site incidents, updates, and daily observations as needed.
- Construction site experience, including maintenance, punch‑list work, and basic repairs.
- Well‑versed in construction techniques and comfortable working across all stages of a home’s build.
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working in attics, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to kneel, bend, stand, and work for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Strong organization, time management, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel between multiple job sites during the workday.
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or an associate degree in construction management preferred.
- 1–2 years of construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, safety practices, and quality standards is a plus.
- Basic tool familiarity and OSHA safety certification preferred.
