- Minimum of three years of successful bilingual classroom teaching experience in elementary

The primary purpose of this position is to support the daily operations and instructional programming for emergent bilingual (EB) students through: (1) high‑quality implementation of Bilingual and ESL programs and compliance; (2) curriculum and instruction; and (3) parent, family and community engagement. This leadership position serves as a liaison between campus and district staff to ensure fidelity of implementation of district instructional Bilingual and ESL programs, provide job‑embedded professional development, and accomplish specific district and campus goals relating to EBs.
The position ensures appropriate student placement and delivery of services aligned to the Bilingual and ESL program requirements.
- Support the fidelity of Bilingual and ESL program implementation to achieve program goals and increase English proficiency and student academic achievement.
- Implement LPAC (Language Proficiency Assessment Committee) processes and procedures in alignment with state and federal requirements.
- Assist campus in addressing state and federal compliance requirements related to EB programs.
- Lead LPAC meetings for EB students, as required, to support appropriate instructional programming and services.
- Serve as LPAC representative for ARD/MTSS meetings as needed.
- Assist administrators and testing coordinators with TELPAS and STAAR preparations.
- Work with campus staff to appropriately schedule EBs.
- Collaborate with campus administrators and staff to ensure the appropriate instructional placement of EBs within the Bilingual or ESL program model based on individual language proficiency, academic needs, and program goals.
- Communicate EB students’ language proficiency to essential stakeholders and progress monitor to ensure academic achievement and language development.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop meaningful linguistic and instructional accommodations that support content comprehension and language growth for EBs in Bilingual and ESL programs.
- Influence core content classroom practice through ongoing support in content‑based language instruction, dual language pedagogies, lesson design, observations, and mentoring.
