Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time teaching role for grades 6-8 at Katy Independent School District in Katy, TX. The educator will develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with district and state standards while maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring student progress, fostering critical thinking, collaborating with faculty, and maintaining proactive communication with students, parents, and staff to enhance student success and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies
  • Strong ability to employ effective instructional strategies and integrate technology to support diverse learners
  • Effective collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with colleagues and parents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning environment
  • State certification for teaching in Texas and relevant subject area knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant discipline is required; a Master’s degree is a plus
  • Experience working with middle-grade students and understanding of their developmental needs
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and academic excellence
