• College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the Para-Pro test.
• College hours, high school diploma or GED for non-Title I campus.
• Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills.
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• School office experience or volunteer experience (preferred).
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work within deadlines and handle interruptions.
• Physical ability to move textbooks.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional needs as appropriate for the grade and subject area.

• Operate and maintain all workroom equipment, i.e., copiers, laminator, etc.
• Assist classroom teachers with worksheets, tests, forms, and other documents as requested.
• Assist as needed in the classroom, clinic, cafeteria, receptionist duties, student registration, attendance, etc.
• Comply with standard practices and ethical conduct toward students, instructional personnel, staff, and the administration.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
