Full-Time Violin Faculty The Paganini School of Music — Katy, TX
The Paganini School of Music seeks a full-time violin teacher to join our established string program in Katy, TX, a western suburb of Houston. Our school offers private lessons and group classes in violin, viola, and cello, and hosts performances, masterclasses, and workshops throughout the year. Our mission is to educate and nurture well-rounded young artists and musicians.
The RoleThis is a full-time teaching position.
- Private violin lessons
- Group classes
- Helping to maintain a strong Suzuki and traditional violin program
- Attending school events, recitals, and faculty meetings, plus other duties as assigned
- Keeping regular weekly office hours for lesson planning, scheduling, student/parent communication, and general assistance as needed

CompensationThe salary range for this position is $60, per year, commensurate with experience and training. Full-time faculty are also eligible for benefits, including:

Qualifications- A Master of Music (MM) is required, in either Violin Performance or Suzuki Pedagogy.
- Completed Suzuki training through at least Book 4. (Candidates holding an MM in Suzuki Pedagogy, which covers all ten books, automatically satisfy this requirement.)
- Strong playing ability; teaching and performance videos will be requested.
The position typically involves a 40-hour work week, with up to 30 hours per week spent teaching and the remaining hours dedicated to planning, scheduling, administrative work, and general assistance as needed. Our academic year runs approximately 36 weeks of private lessons and group classes, with 10 weeks of teaching expected during the summer. Weekday lessons are taught in the evenings, while the weekend teaching day begins in the morning.
